We made it to Norfolk, just squeaking under the last lift bridge without having to wait. This bay is really impressive with all the warships and aircraft carriers. Gives you a feeling of comfort when you a see a sampling of what there is out there protecting us. We spent a few days in this area having work done on our boat; we were in Norfolk first at Waterside Marina, and then moved across the harbor to Portsmouth. Met up with some fellow Loopers, Barb & Frank Wiegand and Vivian & Bill Wood, who we had met before, and other friends of theirs, and had a great dinner together.
